One of the objectives we strive for at our concerts, aside from creating beautiful music, is an appropriately formal and uniform appearance.
All of our musician students are required to have formal concert attire. As a service to our band members and parents, our Band Boosters will organize fittings and place a consolidated order to take advantage of volume discounts. Fittings will take place during all band and percussion classes in September.
Ladies in all bands: You will need a concert gown. Cost is approximately $70.
Gentlemen in Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band: You will need a 5-piece tuxedo (jacket, pants, cummerbund, white pleated shirt, bow tie). Cost is approximately $102.
Gentlemen in Concert Band:
You will need a 4-piece tuxedo (pants, cummerbund, white pleated shirt, bow tie ~ no jacket). Cost is approximately $55.
RETURNING BAND STUDENTS: Try on your concert attire at the start of the year to determine if you need any replacements. There will not be another opportunity to order new concert attire after this initial order process. Replacement pieces are priced as follows:
- Gown, $70
- 5-piece tux, $102
- 4-piece tux, $55
- Tux jacket, $62
- Pants, $30
- White pleated shirt, $15
- Cummerbund, $10
- Bow tie, $5
- Larger sized pants, jackets, and gowns will run $4 extra.
Alterations: All pants arrive unhemmed. Dresses may need to be hemmed or altered. It is the student’s responsibility to have all alterations completed before of the first concert.
No money is due now! Payment will be due when the students receive their order in October. Items will not be distributed before payment is made.
No student will be prevented from performing in a concert due to financial constraints, so please contact Mr. Magee if other arrangements need to be made.
Donated items will always be gladly accepted. They will be added to our The Concert Closet.
